DENSO Robotics offers a wide range of high-speed, high-precision 4-axis SCARA and 5- and 6-axis articulated industrial robots, for payloads up to 20 kg. Standard, dust- and mistproof, dust- and waterproof, cleanroom and aseptic models are available to accommodate many different applications. In addition to industrial robot arms, DENSO also offers easy-to-use programming software, controllers and teaching pendants.
HS-G Series SCARA Robot
The HS-Series compact, four-axis SCARA robots offer the highest speed and repeatability in their class. Although these small industrial robots have a compact, space-saving design, they have a large load-handling capability, with a maximum payload of 5 kg. In addition, their large, 0.1 kgm² maximum allowable moment of inertia enables a wide range of end effectors and applications.
HM-G Series SCARA Robot
The HM-Series four-axis SCARA robots offer outstanding speed and repeatability. Although these small industrial robots have a compact, space saving design, they can handle 20 kg payloads. In addition, their maximum allowable moment of inertia of 0.45 kgm² is six times larger than that of conventional robots, permitting a wide variety of applications.
HS-R True High Speed 4-Axis Robot
The HSR Series uses advanced vibration control, a newly designed, highly rigid lightweight arm and improved heat dissipation in the base unit to achieve new levels of continuous high-speed performance and repeatability.
Reduced shaft whip and settling time, along with a lighter-weight arm and an optimized arm structure make the HSR robots more efficient than previous models, enabling them to accelerate faster, run continuously at their maximum rated speed and stop more precisely. Standard cycle time (with a 2-kg weight) is from 0.28 to 0.31 sec. and repeatability is from ±0.01 to ±0.012 mm. Maximum payload capacity is 8 kg, with available reaches of 480, 550, and 650 mm.
XR-G Series Integrated Robot
The XR-Series four-axis, compact gantry robots feature a ceiling mounted, flexible SCARA robot combined with a long-stroke Cartesian robot. As a result of their highly efficient, integrated design, the XR-Series robots use up to 40% less valuable factory floor space than a conventional SCARA robot. In addition, they can operate in many applications without the need of a conveyor, saving up to 20% in capital-equipment costs. ANSI and CE compliance allows global deployment.
VP-G Series 6-Axis Robot
The ultracompact VP-Series six-axis articulated robots offer the highest speed and repeatability in their class. Their small footprint of only 160 x 160 mm (200 mm dia. for the aseptic models) saves valuable facility space and makes integration easy, yet despite their size, they have a large payload capacity. In addition, their highly efficient motors use a maximum of only 80 W of power each, and all motors combined use a maximum of only 300 W, resulting in significant energy savings. The VP-Series robots are ANSI and CE compliant, making them suitable for global deployment.
VS-G Series 6-Axis Robot
The VS-Series six-axis articulated robots combine high speed and repeatability with powerful load-handling capability. They have a 7 kg maximum payload capacity and a maximum allowable moment of inertia (0.295 kgm² at J4 and J5, and 0.045 kgm² at J6) that is 2.5 times greater than conventional robots. This enables flexible end-effector designs and a wide range of applications. In addition, the VS-Series footprint is only 200 x 200 mm, facilitating integration. The VS Series is ANSI and CE compliant, making it suitable for global deployment. UL-listed models are available for both the U.S. and Canada.
VM-G Series 6-Axis Robot
The VM-Series six-axis articulated robots offer high speed and repeatability along with a large, 13-kg maximum payload capacity. In addition, their maximum allowable moment of inertia (0.36 kgm² at J4 and J5, and 0.064 kgm² at J6) is 2.5 times greater than conventional robots, allowing more flexibility in end-effector designs and a wider range of applications. A slim, 130-mm-wide arm and long, 1,000- to 1,300-mm reach make it possible for these robots to reach around tooling or into deep, narrow spaces, such as plastic injection molds, without interfering with peripheral equipment.
RC8 Robot Controller
The DENSO RC8 controller is 60 percent smaller and 45 percent lighter than the company's previous model. It has a footprint of only 12 x 18 inches and a height of only 3.75 inches, saving valuable factory floor space and facilitating integration.
The powerful, high-speed RC8 controller can communicate with over 100 different types of devices using DENSO's ORiN™ open-resource interface networking system. Its wide range of communications interfaces includes 100 Base-T Ethernet, mini/hand I/O, RS-232C and USB as standard, plus CC-Link, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, parallel discrete I/O, Profibus and Profinet as optional. The RC8 controller is compatible with DENSO’s wide range of high-speed, four-, five- and six-axis industrial robots, with payloads up to 20 kg, reaches from 350 to 1,300 mm and repeatability to within ±0.015 mm.
